We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Export/Import Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of export/import operations, including air freight handling and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs clearance procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and carriers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues or delays promptly.
- Negotiate favorable rates and terms with carriers and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in air freight handling, freight forwarding, and logistics.
- IATA License (Mandatory).
- Proven track record in an airfreight supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in logistics software and computer systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customs regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines.
